The bars ended up in the bush with the hand guard hooking a branch and ended up moving over 90 degrees. So instead of reading "Barkbusters" horizontally, it was completely vertical. The mount looked like the stripe on a candy cane. It was very twisted.

Looking at it lying there in the bushes I'm thinking "Yep that's broken". Once I got the bike upright again, a quick touch up on the hand guard and it sprung back into place. Perfect. Awesome design on that one. I can't speak highly enough of them. They are by far the best Hand guards I have used. I broke a fair few hand guards in my time, but these ones just keep bouncing back. I love it... To flex that far and not break is impressive.
