To mount a handguard securely to the handlebar it is important for the clamp to fit correctly. The large variety of tapered handlebars on the market have many different degrees of tapers and thickness. To achieve a strong secure clamp fit it is important to correctly match the clamp to the handlebar. This is why we have so many different fitting kits.
